Super excited, as the sun is out and wedding season has begun.
Huge congratulations to Rachael & Jim, who got married in Bromsgrove near Birmingham last weekend. Their wedding day was beautiful with clear blue skies all day. Massive thanks to them both for asking me to photograph their big day, as well as letting me drag them away to the fields just in time for this sunset shot.
It is rare that when planning your wedding day timetable and schedule that couples remember to leave enough time to spend creating beautiful couple photos. Weather its having the time to go to a beautiful location away from the party, or just simply allowing enough time for you to relax and not feel rushed from such a busy day.
If your couple photos are important to you, then it is important to schedule enough time to do them properly. For me they are my favourite part of wedding photography and the images I find the most beautiful, and which will be treasured the most throughout the ages. 45mins is a good amount of time to allow for your wedding couple photoshoot.
This shot was actually taken after the time allocated for the couple photos. But with the location of the wedding, and the perfect sunset, it was something we couldn’t miss on the day. The kiss looks like a staged pose, but it was actually a natural candid photo where I just left the bride and groom to have 5mins to themselves while I photographed them from afar with a canon 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens. With the perfect lighting situation during the ‘golden hour’, there was not much I could do to improve this image with postproduction editing in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Promotional video to help boost the social media platforms – such as Facebook, YouTube channels – of the charity Educate The Kids. One of the best ways of boosting visitors to your website, getting more followers and likes, or getting more activity from clients online is to have a engaging video. Video is the perfect media for sharing information about your company services, your product, or simply marketing your brand.
It’s crucial to keep your business up to date with todays marketing strategies. Must-know knowledge – like how embedding a youtube video onto your website homepage can boost your SEO and Google ranking – is the best way to be a head of the game.

On the 25th September 2016, Simon Law took on the Bristol Half Marathon, to mark the third anniversary since his heart attack. After three years of rehabilitation and training, he was finally at a stage of recovery where he was able to take on such a massive challenge. Since his heart attack, Simon has been looking for a way to give something back to the hospitals who provided him with excellent care and support in his time of need. He decided to specifically fundraise for Bristol Heart Institute through local charity, Above & Beyond.
This is when Simon and the Above & Beyond PR Team approached me to do a photo shoot. They wanted images to sit alongside a press release in the Bristol Post newspaper that outlined Simon’s story, not only to raise awareness, but also to raise money for this important cause. We shot a range of reportage images inside the BHI and the rehabilitation department of Bristol Royal Infirmary. In addition to this, Simon and I got up at the crack of dawn to do a creative shoot on the iconic Bristol Suspension Bridge. We wanted to convey his dedication to the half marathon and his ongoing recovery. This dramatic and impactful photograph portrays a good representation of what Simon does these days in order to remain fit and healthy. Not only was it a pleasure to be asked to shoot for Simon and the Above & Beyond team, but I also ended up running the Half Marathon with Simon too. It was great to have the Above & Beyond team cheering us on as we struggled past with only 2 miles to go. The only downside to the day was that Simon beat me!
Last photoshoot with the beautiful Katy Hooper in Bristol before I leave to be based in Barcelona. Katy Hooper needed a music video for her new song. We also did a photoshoot to help promote the video. Here is a photo from the shoot at the most stunning location as the sun was setting on a beautiful Summers evening in August. This hill in the heart of Somerset was the perfect location for her music video and photo-shoot.
So excited about next year when I will be moving shop to Barcelona. Dee will be our Photographer Bristol, so if you need a Bristol based photographer your emails will forward to her. I will be Fotografo Barcelona, so if you are in need of a Photographer Barcelona please get in touch. I will be out there shooting all the usual work. Corporate headshots, professional business portraits for Linked In, Meet the team photos, Music photography, Fashion Photography, Model portfolios, as well as shooting video for businesses, and music videos.
It would be great to work with you if you are based in Barcelona and in need of a portrait photography or film maker.
Linked In is a great platform for business, it’s invaluable for B2B networking, and the best way to show off your professional expertise. After building up your Linked-In Profile – with great content, endorsements and recommendations – you need to finish it off with a professional head shot. That “nice photo of you at that wedding” (normally with a drink) or a selfie from your iPhone just wont cut it if you want your clients to see you as a professional.
Here is a recent headshot from a studio photo-shoot with Bristol based financial adviser, Simon Law. Simon told me his business “is all about trust”, so like most of my clients Simon needed a portrait of himself to look friendly and approachable. Simon is a professional at Mortgage & Protect – and not a professional model – so like 95% of clients, he wasn’t in his comfort zone with a camera pointing at his face. This is where my expertise comes in.
Making my models feel relaxed and comfortable is my biggest aim during every photo-shoot.
Without achieving this I would not be able to capture natural smiles, showing you at your best.
The best way to create this relaxed atmosphere is to simply not take photos. 80% of the time during a headshot photo-shoot should be spent talking, drinking tea or coffee and building up rapport. Not only is it great is know about what makes my clients smile, I also need to understand everything about their business. From the clients they want to work with, to their business identity and branding.
In the end – not only was Simon Law happy, I was told that Mrs Law couldn’t find a fault with the portrait – so I count that as a win.
Having a corporate video on your company website is becoming so important these days.
We are constantly being told that only 20% of people visiting your business website will actually read the context, but 80% of people will click on a video to find out every important detail your clients will need to know about your business.
Quickly giving your website visitors all the important details of who you are, what your business is, and what your USP is, is the best way to convert visitors into sells. And the best way to do this is by having a corporate video on your landing page.
If you are searching for a photographer or film maker to make a visually exciting, professional and informative video for your business, look no further. Get your branding and strap line out there, and share your 60 seconds to bigger business networks by promoting your promotional video on social media platforms like, Linked In, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

A Crowdfunder video for Crossed Anchors Brewery
I was so excited when I met Oliver and Paddy, and heard about their plan to set a Brewery in Exmouth, Devon.
Not only being a lover of great local beer, but also being born and raised in Exmouth, the idea of this exciting new business coming to my hometown was too good not to get involved with!
Honoured to have met some local celebs while shooting. And great to have the amazing Sam Green from Sam Green & The Midnight Heist to help out with the music.
Check out the great backers rewards here: http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/crossed-anchors-brewery
Super excited about sharing this music video we filmed and edited for Bristol based country / folk singer songwriter Katy Hooper. The filming was done over many of months making sure the photography of the Autumn colours matched feel of the music. The song ‘Most Of All’ – written by Katy Hooper – is from her latest EP Pelican. Go buy a copy as the EP artwork and design is also made by yours truly.
